My name is Terry Bernstein Weiner, and I am Pinky's daughter. Project Pinky Tribute Tiles is a heartfelt tribute to my father, Paul "Pinky" Bernstein—a man whose life was defined by resilience, courage, selflessness, and an unwavering love for others. Born in Brooklyn, New York, during the Great Depression and raised in a large working-class family, Pinky understood hardship from an early age.

Yet he never lost his remarkable ability to bring laughter, hope, and light to those around him. His service during World War II, including his bravery in the Battle of the Bulge and the hardships he endured as a prisoner of war, earned him both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Despite these extraordinary accomplishments, Pinky remained humble and rarely spoke about his wartime experiences. Instead, he chose to live a life centered on kindness, humor, generosity, and helping others whenever he could. Pinky's legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and joy—a legacy built on making the world a brighter place for everyone fortunate enough to know him. Project Pinky Tribute Tiles honors that legacy by creating personalized tribute tiles that celebrate the lives of our loved ones.

Each tile tells a unique story—a story of love, remembrance, gratitude, and the lasting impact one life can have on others. Through this project, we also raise funds to support veterans in need, a cause that Pinky himself would have championed wholeheartedly. At Pinky Tribute Tiles, our mission is simple yet profound: to create lasting legacies that bring comfort, joy, remembrance, and healing to families and friends while giving back to those who have served our country.

I am truly blessed to honor my father's memory through this work and to pay tribute to our veterans and first responders. Together, we ensure that the stories of those we love—and those who have sacrificed so much for others—will never be forgotten.
